Group photo after Krav Maga fighting class in Yokohama

On Tuesday, we had a dynamic and intense fighting class at our Yokohama training center. After the class, we took a group photo together — a nice way to capture the energy and determination of everyone who participated.

Fighting classes are an important part of Krav Maga training. While self-defense is not just about fighting, learning how to deal with a real fight situation is essential. In these classes, students have the opportunity to test their techniques and mindset in a safe and controlled environment. It’s not about being aggressive — it’s about learning how to manage stress, stay focused under pressure, and apply the principles of Krav Maga effectively.

Our fighting classes are adapted to the level of each participant. Beginners focus on basic movements, distance control, and defense against common attacks. More advanced students work on timing, combinations, and sparring with different partners. Everyone trains at their own pace, and safety is always the top priority.

It’s always great to see the progress students make over time. Some people arrive with no experience at all and, after a few weeks or months, they’re able to move, defend, and strike with confidence. Others come with experience in other martial arts and find that Krav Maga gives them new tools and perspectives for self-defense.

Thank you to everyone who joined the class this week — great energy, strong spirit, and mutual respect all around. We’ll continue to build these essential skills together.

Check out the photo below and stay tuned for more updates from our Tokyo and Yokohama training centers!
